I came across a video at AmFam featuring comedian Bill Bellamy wherein he’s discussing “Momma Talk.” I gotta tell ya, I laughed until I cried. Then I just cried. Why? Because Mama’s just aren’t what they used to be.
I loved it when he said his Momma, right before they entered the home neighbor they were visiting, looked him and his sister in the eye and said, “I’m going to tell you this one time and one time only…” I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard my Mama say those words to me and my brother.
Or how many times I’ve said it to my kids. But somehow it just doesn’t have the same scare factor. *sigh*
American Family Insurance is offering knee-slapping comedy at their site featuring Bellamy (who I see as a hilarious blend of Madea and Bill Cosby) and other well known comedians in their Stand Up For Family campaign.
Short in length but long in laughter, these videos are great for everybody in the family.
If you have a Momma (and I know you do), these are a must see. You might not see dear old Mom in all of them, but I’m pretty sure you’ll see here in most of them.
And when they’re over, you’re going to want to call up your Momma and thank her for all she did for you.
Ok, let me rephrase, this Mama says you better call up your Mama and… you know the rest.
